How to support TRANScend this Summer

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Still the Same Love this past weekend! This was the biggest turnout we’ve had for a summer concert, with over 120 people in attendance, and more listening in at home. Your love and appreciation was felt by every one of our singers, and it was a blessing to have you with us.

Love is an incredible resource, but there’s more that we need as an organization. Our admin need care & support, and our programs need funding.

If you’re looking for ways to stay in touch and support TRANScend in our off-season, we have some suggestions!

  1. We are accepting applications to join our working board until July 12th! If you, or anyone you know, would like to roll up their sleeves and make sure our singers get the resources they need, please apply.

  2. Comment expressing your outrage at proposed federal regulations that would ban organizations like TRANScend from receiving federal funding. The comment period on this particular proposal (which would ban federal funds for organizations that support DEI & “gender ideology”) is open until July 13th, and we would appreciate you leaving a comment in support of trans people & trans nonprofits.

  3. Tell people about TRANScend! Grab some of our exclusive merch, and see how many people ask you about us. Make sure everyone you know has heard of TRANScend!

  4. Share our donation link, and make a donation if you’re able to offer financial support. Money is always a resource that we need, and transgender people deserve to have their needs met! Donations support our rehearsal space, performance venues, sheet music costs, and enable us to have sliding scale dues for all of our singers.

The TRANScend Community Chorale, directed by Hannah Cai Sobel with Molly Fussell accompanying on piano. The choir features over 60 trans & gender non-conforming singers.

As an added treat, if you’ll be at FlameCon this August… you’ll see us there!

Save the date - November 21st!

Mark your calendars for a Trans Day of Remembrance performance of Dr. Felix Graham’s incredible choral work “Stations of the Lost.” More details coming soon!
